1 | Jesus is the son of man | John 1:14 | userdoe217 | 10663
Jesus was son of man. My proof: a) "and the Word (Jesus) was *with* God" (John 1:1). (b) "He (Jesus) was in the beginning *with* God" (John 1:2). (c) "And the Word (Jesus) *became* flesh" (John 1:14) either at the *beginning* or after the act of *becoming* happened, "Jesus" who was "with" God or "became" flesh, had to be either an additional, other, different, distinct, or dissimilar entity than the God. Now, please read the following: "No one can serve two masters;..." Matthew 6:24 If you wish choose the ONE and the only Master, please read; "Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honour and glory forever and ever. Amen." 1 Timothy 1:17 |

2 | Jesus is the son of man | John 1:14 | Morant61 | 10685
Greetings Isa! My friend, this is the second time you have tried to deny that Jesus is God. I notice that in your analysis of John 1:1-14 that you leave out one very important phrase, "....and the Word was God." John 1 goes against everything that you are trying to say about Jesus. He didn't come into existence, He has always been. He isn't a seperate entity from God, He is God. He isn't a subordinate being, He was the active agent in all of creation. And, this is not the only place in Scripture where Jesus is identified as God. Consider the following: 1) Titus 2:13 says, "while we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ," In this verse, Jesus is called both God and Savior. 2) Luke 8:39 says, "‘Return home and tell how much God has done for you.' So the man went away and told all over town how much Jesus had done for him." The man from whom the demons had been cast was specifically told to go and tell the people how much God had done for him, but he tells them how much Jesus had done for him. Clearly the two are equated. 3) Col. 1:15-19 says of Jesus, "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him," This is a powerful statement that Jesus is God. 4) Col. 2:9 says of Jesus, "For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form," There is only one God, and JESUS IS GOD incarnate. In Christ, Tim Moran |

3 | and the word was God | John 1:14 | userdoe217 | 10751
Greatings Tim, thanks for your time. Yes I am muslim. I am right now not in agreement that Jesus is God, maybe you could clarify: John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Okay, then let me ask about this verse. If the "Word" is Jesus, then is this the translation: John 1:1 In the beginning was the Jesus, and the Jesus was with God, and the Jesus was God. How can Jesus be WITH God, if he IS God? God was with God? |

4 | and the word was God | John 1:14 | Makarios | 10758
In the Bible, there are many Scriptures that tell us that Jesus Christ, was in fact, God Himself! If you have a Bible, then please follow along with me.. 1 Timothy 3:16 "By common confession, great is the mystery of godliness: He who was revealed in the flesh, Was vindicated in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Proclaimed among the nations, Believed on in the world, Taken up in glory." John 1:18 "No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him." John 20:28 "Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” Isa, please read this and know that our Bible says clearly that Jesus was, in fact, God Himself! God exists in three Persons who all make up one God. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. These all make up one God, not three gods! They all have the same nature and characteristics, each being a Person in the One Godhead of the Christian faith. |
