1 | Question for Church of Christ. | John 1:12 | Hank | 59587
Keith: Here we go again, trying to justify ourselves through our obedience and not by God's grace alone. Of course we are to obey God. Of course we are to be baptized. These constitute our actions as regenerated believers but do not make us regenerated believers. --Hank
2 | Question for Church of Christ. | John 1:12 | New Creature | 59594
1 Cor. 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned. From the above verse, I can say that the unregenerate person cannot know or understand the things of God. So to say obedience brings salvation would be putting the cart before the horse. I agree with you Hank, when you say obedience is for those who have been regenerated. Amen |
