1 | Paul our pattern to follow, not Jesus? | Luke 24:46 | mark d seyler | 169580
I just realized that I gave you the long answer, but neglected the short answer: We should govern our lives by what Paul and the other Apostles wrote in the epistles, and in the Gospels, and in the entire New Testament, and in the Old testament. We do not neglect any of it. We need to study and pray to know the correct applications. There is no better way, in my opinion, to know what God wants me to do, then to be totally committed to obey Him whatever He wants of me. Jesus is the center. Its All about Jesus. Love in Christ, Mark |

2 | Paul our pattern to follow, not Jesus? | Luke 24:46 | Bereaniam | 169587
Yes Mark, But wouldn't we have to assume that Jesus gave to Paul every scripture needed for the Gentiles to live a Holy, fruitful, fulfilled Christian life? Wouldn't we have to assume that some of those Gentiles never had an opportunity to know any other scriptures except those that were given to them by Paul? Today we have access to "all" of the scriptures..I do not think the Gentiles (post the resurrection) did. Don't get me wrong, I read all of the bible, and it is useful to my Christian walk and edification. I am just saying that what we will be accountable for as Gentiles is what Paul wrote. Remember Paul reiterates much of the old covenant. In Him and He in me |

3 | Paul our pattern to follow, not Jesus? | Luke 24:46 | mark d seyler | 169590
You will be accountable for every word that God has given to you. Luke 12:48 but the one who did not know it, and committed deeds worthy of a flogging, will receive but few. From everyone who has been given much, much will be required; and to whom they entrusted much, of him they will ask all the more. Love in Christ, Mark |
