1 | Paul our pattern to follow, not Jesus? | Luke 24:46 | Bereaniam | 169591
Hi Mark again, Your notes are certainly informative and inspirational. I am not expressing what I feel in my heart I think. I love Jesus..I'm not quite there yet, but I want to get to the place where I can say for me to LIVE is CHRIST! My persistent prayer is for God to give me a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of this treasure (Jesus) in my earthen vessel. I want to know HIM with a knowing that transcends my understanding!! You said "the new dispensation is through Jesus, not Paul" . Paul said ...a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me. 1Cor 9:17 We don't have to follow everything Jesus of Nazareth did, because He was born under the law Gal4:4. Paul said those things that you have learned, received, heard, and seen in me DO!That seems like EVERYTHING! Jesus HAD to keep the law, we don't HAVE to for our righteousness. You did get my point about Paul as he said to follow him AS he followed Christ. You said "the new covenant is what Jesus spent his life on earth showing us." YES HE did. But not EVERYTHING He did are we required to do. Love you brother, Bereaniam |

I am realizing now from reading your other posts why it has been so difficult trying to answer your questions. Its not so much that you are trying to ask a question for the sake of receiving an answer, but that you are asking questions as a cover for pushing an agenda. You are asking a question to receive a particular answer, and when you don't receive that answer, you fault the other party. As for myself, I find it to be much more beneficial to simply make your point in the beginning, and let us discuss it in an up front sort of way. Love in Christ, Mark |

3 | Paul our pattern to follow, not Jesus? | Luke 24:46 | Bereaniam | 169603
Hi Mark, I just started posting at this site...I am very new at this. The reason I came is because someone has presented the "Why Paul" question to me. I thought if I came here, I could get more input from brothers and sisters who study and not just read their bibles. I am truly looking for an answer because when it was presented to me, it did seem plausible. Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety. Prov 11:14 Thanks for the info on how to use this site in a more prudent way. Bereaniam |
