Hello Ken, That's twice now that you've called me Baptistic. Should I be pleased or insulted? :-) Too vague and legalistic? How about this? Romans 9:4 (ESV) They are Israelites, and to them belong the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises. Here Paul explains that only the Jews had God's truth, and only the Jews were in God's favor. It's true that Jesus never mentions these things, but the point He was talking to the Pharisees about money (Luke 16:14) and was making a point that riches won't do any good if you're not using it rightly and going to hell. Sure a contrite heart has value: Psalm 51:17 (ESV) The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. Steve |

"The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise." Please apply that to those who never heard the "spoken" word or read the "written" word, before they died. Then you'll begin to see ALL who Jesus died for. |

Hello Ken, As I've mentioned before, the application is in Romans 2. They are a law unto themselves. Even in this they will fail because they are sinful men. Your whole basis of reasoning is looking for what Scripture does not say and trying to build a theology of salvation from it. I don't see a reason for continuing. Steve |
