1 | What is to ask and receive the Holy Spir | Luke 11:13 | lionheart | 167887
Mark, You are right on the money with Ephesians 4:4-6. The key word here is one. When we have an understanding of this word within it's context here. The questions and disagreements we have centering around this subject should be answered. One here is the greek word heis translated one,the first cardinal numeral;emphatic, one, even one,one single. When we brake it down using simple bible study principle (2 Tim 3:16,17, 2:15, 2 Peter 1:20,21) then we can set aside the speculation and sentimentality that can and does challenge all of us in one way or another. We dont have to debate. What we all have to do and nobody gets excluded from this one, is not allow our hearts to get hard and unwilling to change.Godly love and compassion will keep our hearts open to change and will enable us to be a much more closely knit family. And family we are. It'll help keep us close to God too. In Christ, lionheart |

2 | What is to ask and receive the Holy Spir | Luke 11:13 | mark d seyler | 167892
Lionheart, God bless you! I couldn't agree with you more! What matters the most is where we are, together in Christ, and Who got us here, Jesus Christ our Lord! Does our striving over words take away our unity? If it does, we are not being Godly. We will all understand in heaven. But can we all love on earth? In Christ, Mark |

3 | What is to ask and receive the Holy Spir | Luke 11:13 | lionheart | 167893
Mark, It's totally doable, and you are right on the button,we will all understand in heaven. But whats ironic here is that if we will allow God to work with our hearts and focus on His Word we can understand today,we dont have to wait till we get to heaven. I fear though that some of us may not make it though due to the things that we allow to drive a wedge between each other and God.I've seen it all too frequently. I'm not so deluded as to think we are going going to understand it all during our stay on this planet, but there are certain bedrock fundementals of faith that we seem to fight over constantly that can be understood. Now for the one million dollar question, are we willing to do our homework and let God work with our hearts? This we can do! Philippians 4:13, 2 Timothy 2:15 always. In Christ, lionheart |
