1 | Does God force His will on us ? | Mark 1:12 | EdB | 241636
Interesting question let me add my two cents. In the Book of Job we see Satan report to God, we see Satan answering God with direct answers and no attitude. In Matthew and temptation of Jesus we see Satan ask leading questions to which Jesus responds and Satan does not argue. Through out the gospels we see demons (Satan's minions) directly respond to Jesus and obey His every command. So while I'm not sure we would characterize Satan as a servant of God we also see Satan is not the without fear of God. Satan can only do what God allows Satan to do. |

2 | Does God force His will on us ? | Mark 1:12 | jeremiah1five | 241638
Just a note....was it really Lucifer in Job, Matthew, "throughout the gospels" as you say? As for demons...I believe they are attitudes, not angels. The gift of discerning of spirits in the Church is a gift of the Spirit to discern the source of spiritual activity and phenomenon. The gift can only discern these three spirit-ual beings in creation- 1 the spirit of elect angels 2 the spirit of fallen angels 3 the spirit of man 4 the Spirit of God. These four and no more. Your thoughts? |

3 | Does God force His will on us ? | Mark 1:12 | EdB | 241641
Lucifer is a name given to Satan by many. The anme is seen once in KJV in Isaiah 14:12 Jesus always called Satan, Satan, serpent or snake. Yes it was Satan in Job. Yes it was Satan in Jesus' temptation in Matt. And yes it was Satan's minions in the gospels called demons. |

Yes, I understand that. But where is the correlation that Satan is referred to as Lucifer? I don't see it. Please, identify "Satan's minions." What are they? Angels? Another created being? |
