1 | God created Jesus? | Matt 14:30 | Morant61 | 136864
Greetings CiY127! My friend, I do not base my view of Christ upon tradition, but upon the Word! :-) There are many Scriptural evidences that Jesus is God. There are several lines of evidence which demonstrate that Jesus is God. 1) The claims of Christ Himself. a) All of the "I am" passages, where He equates Himself with the "I am" of Exodus. b) Mt. 13:41, where He speaks of His angels and His Kingdom. The angels are referred to elsewhere as the "angels of God" (Lk. 12:8-9; 15:10.) The Kingdom is repeatedly referred to in the Gospels as the "Kingdom of God." c) Christ’s claim to be able to forgive sins in Mark 2:5 equates Him with God. The Jews understood this for in v. 7 they say it is blasphemy because only God can forgive sins. d) In Mt. 25:31-46, Christ speaks of judging the world. A function which properly belongs only to God. e) In Mark 2:27-28, Christ claims to be "the Lord of the Sabbath." The Sabbath was instituted by God. Therefore, only God could abrogate or modify this regulation. f) In John 10:30, Christ claims to be "one with the Father." g) In John 14:7-9, Christ says that to see and know Him is to see and know the Father. h) In John 8:58, Jesus claims to be God and pre-existent. i) Christ accepted the attribution of deity made to Him by Thomas, when Thomas cried "My Lord and my God (John 20:28). j) He claimed to have power over life and death in John 11:25. 2 The claims of others about Christ. a) John 1:1 clearly says that Christ was God. b) Heb. 1:3 says that Christ is the exact representation of God’s nature and the radiance of His glory. This could only be true of God. c) Paul writes in Col. 1:15-20 that Jesus is the image of the invisible God v. 15. That Jesus is the one in whom and through whom and for whom all things hold together in v. 17. In v. 19, he says that the "fullness" of God dwells in Christ. He states this again in Col. 2:9. d) Paul also writes in Phil. 2:5-11 of the divine nature and pre-existence of Christ. Finally, Titus 2:13 says, "while we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ," In this verse, Jesus is called both God and Savior. This isn't tradition! It is the Word! Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

I do not wish to be banned from posting, but I can show the Biblical research on all those verses and supply at least a 75 specific and over a thousand generic (not exagerating) to support my belief. But I promised not to post on it any more.
3 | God created Jesus? | Matt 14:30 | CDBJ | 136907
Greetings CiY127, All of the biblical research in the world doesn’t mean a thing compared to a personal relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ. As one and the same the following is presented. John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 1 John 5:10-13 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. [11] And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. [12] He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. [13] These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 1 Cor. 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Matthew 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. No one on this forum can reveal truth to you, the understanding of Scripture is supernatural! 1 Cor. 1:18-21 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. [19] For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. [20] Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? [21] For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. Do your self a big favor and let God work for you by trusting in His Son!!! Have a great day, CDBJ |
