Johhny, If my position on the bretheren of Jesus is just a Catholic thing, why did Luther, Calvin and Zwingli, those Sola Scriptura, Bible Alone, Reformers hold the same position that I do? If you want to know, go tho this link and see the explanation. http://www.catholic.com/library/Brethren_of_the_Lord.asp And by the way, it is not Catholic doctrine that Mary did not see death. You misunderstand that also. Emmaus |

2 | JESUS CHRIST | Matt 13:55 | Searcher56 | 79963 | ||
Word study ... adelphos, adelphe, anepsios ... Emmaus, my Catholic friend ... The word for brother is adelphos, sister is adelphe ... and there is a word for cousin, it is anepsios (Col 4:10). I am not sure why the site you post said otherwise. Please read http://www.carm.org/catholic/brothers.htm If traditions (no matter how old) and trends are not total truth, I throw them in the trash. Emmaus, James, Joseph, Simon and Judas were children of Joesph and Mary, based on this passage and Luke 1:25 as well as others. I was proving they could not be cousins, because other Scripture proves it is another word. What do you say about this? Did you read the CARM article? Searcher |
