Ray, Greetings in Christ. Thanks for the sharing. I appreciate it. But being in the topic, maybe you can also share with me your view about Joseph sleeping with a woman whom he knew gave birth to the Son of God. Take note that there was no doubt in Joseph's mind that Mary's first "Son" is God ( Matt. 1:20-24 ) This issue was actually what confused me. It sounds sacrilegious to me. Hi Emmaus, Jesus Himself began His ministry when He was about thirty years of age, Luke 3:23, NKJ, "being (as was supposed), the son [the *Son] of Joseph...38...of God./" Luke 1:35, "...and for that reason the holy offspring shall be called the *Son [sic] of God/." John 1:34, "And I have seen, and have borne witness that this is the *Son of God/." John 18:36, "Jesus answered, 'My/ kingdom is not of this world."...37...'You say correctly that *I am a king. For this I/ have been born,..." Matthew 1:21, "And she will bear a *Son; and you shall call His/ name Jesus, for it is He who will save (His) people from their sins." Matthew 1:25, "and kept her a virgin until she gave birth to a Son; and he called His name (Jeus)." 1) In comparing your two references I found that Ezekiel spoke of the gate being entered, not exited, and didn't consider it worthy of too much time for our discussion. Let me know of your thoughts to the contrary. The verse that I did find in comparing these two verses is Ezekiel 44:12. It might be worth your meditating on. From the heart, Ray |
