1 | Are "careless words" sin? | Matt 12:36 | Mommapbs | 123839 | ||
Country Girl - God's Word speaks of two distinct "judgments", one for the believer and the other for the non-believer. Those who are in Christ are not "judged" but rather reviewed. See notes on 2 Cor 5:10 - believers are rewarded or recompensed, not "judged" as the non-believer and condemned. (The penalty for sin is death) Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. John 5:24 - The believer will stand before the judgment seat of Christ (2 Cor 5:10) The nonbeliever will stand before the great white throne (Judgment Day) of Rev 20. I hope this clears things up for you! Blessings, mommapbs |

Copied from an earlier post: Also, since you bring it up. Are you saying that once we become christians, we don't have anything more to do for Christ? We can coast on into Heaven, doing absolutely nothing more? If so, what about all the scriptures that depict the christian way of life after being saved. If we are to do something, what are we to do? Can you provide scriptures? I noticed you didn't respond to these questions. Maybe you overlooked them? Thanks for taking a second look. Blessings to you. Country Girl |
