1 | What is meant by 'age'? | Matt 12:32 | Makarios | 9052
What does Jesus mean when He says, "either in this age or in the age to come"? Does this mean while we are here on earth (this age) and when we are in heaven (the age to come)?
2 | What is meant by 'age'? | Matt 12:32 | kalos | 106063
Makarios: I believe what the verse is very plainly saying is: "it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come." As I understand it, "either in this age or in the age to come" relates not to the time in which the sin is committed, but to the time in which it will not be forgiven. I would paraphrase (interpret) this verse to mean that this particular sin won't be forgiven NOW and it won't be forgiven LATER. I don't claim to have the one right answer. This is merely what I understand the verse to mean. kalos |
