Bible Question:
Greetings Searcher, I know this is an old post, but as I read this verse (Mt 12:32), the words "age to come" caught my attention. You wrote: "Age is aion (Strong's 165) , which can mean period of time (this age) which will last until the next aion (the age to come) which is eternity, another meaning of aion." How can anyone speak against the Spirit in eternity when sin is no longer present? mommapbs |
Bible Answer: Hi Mommapbs, The word "age" is not in the Greek as shown by the italics in the verse. So it could very well be interpreted "in the ages to come". All through the ages, if people attribute the work of Christ to a demon; if they do not recognize the true spirit of Christ and who He is, then they will be in danger of committing the unpardonable sin of blaspheming against the Holy Spirit.
