1 | Is Jesus "least" in kingdom of heaven? | Matt 11:11 | Makarios | 109790 | ||
Greetings my friend, Yes, I know what you were trying to ask! :-) I understand that verse to mean that up to that point, John the Baptist was the one prophet who actually saw the Messiah; he was the one who actually saw the One who was promised, and was able to experience that which the ones before were not able to experience. In that way, John the Baptist was the greatest who was born of women. However, everyone who has put their faith in Jesus since the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ has a higher position in the kingdom of heaven then does John the Baptist, since John was only a friend of the bridegroom (John 3:29), and not part of the bride, which is the church (Ephesians 5:25-27,32). Blessings to you, Makarios |

Makarios, you are confirming our brother in Christ, Emmaus. When I read that verse it was like - hey, wait a minute. I appreciate your going the extra mile with your second response. Thank you. TommyS |

You are very welcome! It is good that Emmaus and I posted on the same topic so that you would get Biblical answers, but not always from the same angle, so to speak. :-) Blessings to you, Makarios |
