Subject: Is Jesus "least" in kingdom of heaven? |
Bible Note: Greetings my friend, Yes, I know what you were trying to ask! :-) I understand that verse to mean that up to that point, John the Baptist was the one prophet who actually saw the Messiah; he was the one who actually saw the One who was promised, and was able to experience that which the ones before were not able to experience. In that way, John the Baptist was the greatest who was born of women. However, everyone who has put their faith in Jesus since the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ has a higher position in the kingdom of heaven then does John the Baptist, since John was only a friend of the bridegroom (John 3:29), and not part of the bride, which is the church (Ephesians 5:25-27,32). Blessings to you, Makarios |
