1 | Unclean food for the Christian? | Lev 1:1 | EdB | 105873
Kwigger You ask, "Are you getting any of this?" I answer no I have been set free of the Law. The Law couldn't save only Jesus could. The fact you have placed yourself back under the law beard and tassels tells me you don't think grace is enough. You are required to keep also the law for your salvation. As for your comments on anti-Semitism your right many well meaning but totally incorrect teachings have developed placing blame on the Jews for Jesus’ death. Most of these came for the reformation era by men that were politically inclined attempting to develop theology to fit their purpose. However I hold strongly to my appreciation of Judaism and feel Jewish worship quite probably be the mainstay worship in heaven. However once again I place my trust in grace not my ability to keep the Law. As for your little side trip on evolution that would probably be best served in another thread don’t you think? EdB |

2 | Unclean food for the Christian? | Lev 1:1 | Kwigger | 105883
Two words, Ed: "Reasonable service." "Open my eyes, that I may behold Wonderful things from Your law. I am a stranger in the earth; Do not hide Your commandments from me. My soul is crushed with longing After Your ordinances at all times. You rebuke the arrogant, the cursed, Who wander from Your commandments. Take away reproach and contempt from me, For I observe Your testimonies. Even though princes sit and talk against me, Your servant meditates on Your statutes. Your testimonies also are my delight; They are my counselors. Daleth." (Psalm119:18-24) If this is bondage, LOCK ME UP! I have also made it very clear that obedience for salvation is a dead end street. What was it that James said about faith and works? You need to read my last post more carefully. I was not discussing evolution; I was comparing the attitudes of evolutionists to the common attitude of many mainstream Christians. Neither is willing to submit to the authority of the standard in which the claim to believe. Grace and peace, Kwigger |

Nothing is more pleasurable than serving the Lord in perfection and if we were able to do I would join you. But as Peter said so very eloquently Acts 15:10-11 Now therefore, why do you test God by putting a yoke on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? [11] But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved in the same manner as they." That all I have to say on this subject. EdB |

EdB: while looking at this dialogue I noticed that ASKEN started this with his question, but never responded to any note, and from Dec 5th ASKEN has not returned. I think I have seen this several times before. Blessings Ed. justme |
