Bible Note: Kwigger Please do not put me into a box you know nothing about. I venture to say I know more about Judaism and hold more of the implications of its teachings precious than you even are aware exist. I thought I dealt with your suggestion of latent anti-Semitism before, please don’t suggest it again. I absolutely believe the Torah is God's road but I also absolutely believe man is not able to walk that road. Therefore Jesus Christ came walked that road and died so those of us that believe in Him would not have to walk that road. Once again what part of the statement, “ Jesus is the fulfillment of the Law” don't you get? The Law did not past away it was fulfilled. Do you have any idea what that ‘reality’ means? Evidently not you keep leaning on the law. The fact you have been in so many denominations can mean more than you would suggest. It could mean as you seem so inclined to suggest that you have a searching and discerning spirit, however it could also mean your so contrary you could not conform and therefore was could never be in agreement with anything. The fact you present the very same argument that Paul combated in nearly his whole ministry leaves me with little doubt which it is. To answer your little test if I was on a deserted island with the Bible what would I believe. Well if I read 1 Tim. 4:4-5 For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving; [5] for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. I would kill the first pig I saw, ask God’s blessing upon it, giving thanks for His mercy and sleep that night with a full belly. I know you weren't talking to me but let me say I have probably prayed Psalm 119 more times than you have read it. That is the heart of my prayers that God will reveal his testimonies, ways, precepts, statutes, commandments and judgments in such a way that they live in me and I in them. EdB |
