1 | Unclean food for the Christian? | Lev 1:1 | asken | 105577
Does such passages as Mk 7:15 and Acts 9:10-16 really justify a Christian eating the forbiden foods given in Leviticus 11:1-47? If they were unclean for the Jews then surely they are for us too?

Asken: I refer you to Acts 10:15. By this verse you can see Peter had the same concern as you. Perhaps the better question is if you feel it is wrong for you to eat or drink some food then for you to partake would be wrong, am I not correct? Luke tells in Acts that we should be wise in not causing those who are weaker in their faith to stumble. I have a very dear friend who is a seventh Day Aventist. Out of sincere respect for him I did not eat things that he considered wrong. Not because I felt eating something was wrong, I knew it was offensive to him. Perhaps it is a matter of kindness and respect for others we need to be cautious. Not just in what we eat but in our action people also make judgements about our faithfulness. Blesings to you. justme |
