2 | Daniel - Vegetables | Dan 1:8 | cklam | 108393
Thanks! With regard to the second reason, I have a follow-up question: Daniel did ask for vegetables to eat and water to drink (Daniel 1 V.12), the vegetables might not properly prepared by hand that weren't first washed and etc. - why this is acceptable to Daniel?
3 | Daniel - Vegetables | Dan 1:8 | Searcher56 | 108400
Scripture ... Lev 3:17, 7:19-27, 11:1-46, 19:26, 22:8; Num 6:1-4 ... Leviticus 11 is the main passage about food restrictions. The wine portion leads me to believe he took a vow, part of which included not drinking wine (Num 6:1-4). I don't see Scripture that required food to be washed ... I did list other passages of food restrictions. |
