1 | does eternal have a beginning? | Jer 1:5 | kalos | 23369
When we are born again, we at that time become partakers of eternal life. Yet to say this means that we have been eternal (in existence) *from eternity past* is stretching things a bit. That my name was written from before the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb does not mean that I "existed" from before the foundation of the world. If one claims to be eternal, he needs to define what he means by "eternal." When one is born again, he becomes a NEW creation in Christ. NEW can hardly describe that which is and always has been eternally existent. |

2 | does eternal have a beginning? | Jer 1:5 | ethan | 23495
Yes it does mean that you existed we are made like God ,in His image, a three part being. and one of the parts where the Spirit talks to us is our imagination. lets say you plan to build a house. you get some plans drawn up and in your mind you can see every detail of the house. including the colors if you are creative enough to picture it. you will walk through it inch by inch step by step it will become life to you and it will be your creation. Now exactly when does that house begin to exist, in a thought or when it becomes a reality???? you have the money, you know the cost, you have the land, it is your dream house. why is it called the 'Dream' house? how much more detailed is God than us? even down to the hairs on our heads was in Gods plan and thoughts. and in all this He sent His Son in which brought us back to himself. So we existed in Christ always. Bless you.
3 | does eternal have a beginning? | Jer 1:5 | kalos | 23513
If you persist in rejecting the normally accepted definition of the word "exist", and insist on your own definition, the one you made up, then it is impossible for you to be wrong. At least not in your own mind. I have no problem believing that in YOUR imagination, you have always existed. Be extremely cautious. Every cult uses the same words that are used by Christians, words that appear in the Bible. They use the same words, but define those words differently than everyone else does. They use their own made-up definitions of key words. In their minds, they can never be wrong either. |

4 | does eternal have a beginning? | Jer 1:5 | ethan | 23642
i have no problem in believing that God knew me before the foundation of the world. You see i am a contract builder and i build things in my mind first then i place them on paper then i build them in reverse from bottom up. Just like God did with us. once a thought is followed through it becomes real. It exists and is just the same with sin it works the same way. in Jerimiah 1:5 the word , in hebrew, for 'knew' means to know carnally. so i have no trouble believing what the word of God says about us.bless you.
