I apologize for my error… The faults in my ideals are only becoming more and more clear the more I attempt to argue them. But I am a person with enough knowledge and honor to admit when he is wrong. But I am also one that strives for truth, and to quickly jump into another theology could prove premature on my part. What I shall do is take time to study and understand scriptures more. Thank you Doc for corning me in my own beliefs and exposing the holes in it with scripture. I hope to hear from you again sometime while I study and increase my understanding of the Bible. -- Michael -- |

Dear Michael, Very well said! Those are the kinds of sentiments that every single believer ought to emulate. I have no interest in winning an argument, I just want the truth of God. We need to spur one another on to study the Word in pursuit of the truth. You are also wise not to jump from one theology to the next too quickly. It is a sign of maturity that you are slow to be "carried about by every wind of doctrine" (Ephesians 4:14). Continue asking, seeking, and knocking! Pay special attention to those things that are troubling or uncomfortable. When we find those in the Word it should delight us, for those are the times of opportunity for the greatest learning! Thank you again, Michael, I think I'll start calling you Berean (Acts 17:11)! :-) In Him, Doc |
