Bible Question:
did god create evil |
Bible Answer: Hi, jackstatum! No, God did not create evil! God created all that exists, invisible and visible, He saw that it was good and He was pleased (Genesis 1:1-31) Genesis 3 tells us about the first human instant of disobedience--caused by the ancient serpent who was intent on destroying God's Creation. This ancient serpent is Satan, an angel previously known as Lucifer who attempted to overthrow God from His Divine Throne (Revelation 12:3-4, 7-9; Isaiah 14:12-20; Luke 10:18). From the beginning it was Satan who introduce sin/evil onto Creation (John 8:44). What we know about God is that God is Light and in Him there's no darkness: God is Holy and in Him there's no sin/evil. (1 John 1:5-7) God Bless! Angel |
