Dear Vine, I agree with Brad. Although you claim to "avoid tradition like the plague," your premise is made much of by groups like the so-called "Church of True Israel" -- and other pseudo-Christian organizations who traditionally attempt to gain respectability of their views of racial purity from the Scriptures. Furthermore, while tossing the baby out with the bath water, you garner more bath water unto yourself in the form of speculation. Then you add insult to injury by claiming love and unity, as if any disagreement was a repudiation of both. It would take a great deal of time and energy to properly and fundamentally restructure presuppositions, hermeneutics, and reasoning. Consequently, you will continue to deem your "proof texts" and their interpretation as supporting your unusual doctrines. In Him, Doc PS Ephesians 4 reaffirms the value of tradition and the importance of unity in sound doctrine. |
