1 | Is Genesis 1:2 the fall of satan? | Gen 1:2 | Appleseed | 143825 | ||
Hi Doc, Is it necessary? Yes the truth needs to be revealed in order to answer questions the secular world has. For us as Christians it makes no difference. But it is a stumbling block to many because of what they believe Christians have told them. The earth until now is 6000years. We also know that from Gen. 1:3 until today is approx 6000Years (give and take 50years) but it is not true to say from Gen. 1:1 to today it is 6000years. As there are other scripture which I mentioned previously that could not have happened after this period and will never happen not even during the end times or the 1000years reign of Christ - after this we know it is eternity, no more time and no more satan on earth. So the only time is before. I will provide a brief further insight. We know from the verses (not Theory) that satan was on earth, in eden, before he fell. We know from scripture that he fell before Adam and the Woman were created ("the serpent of Old"). Also that The Genesis 1 has two Hebrew words that describe two key activities God used in the reconstruction of the earth - Bara (means to Create, bring into existence from nothing, 01254 Strong’s) and Asah (means to Mold/Fashion what already exists, 06213 Strong’s). God created the earth and the heavens in Genesis 1:1 then He destroyed it by casting Satan down to entire earth and removing His light from the earth. The earth still existed but in a destructive state (Gen. 1:2). Then God rebuilt the earth by calling things that be not as if they are. Things that already existed from previous He used and molded the earth into shape (e.g. Gen. 1:7). God created us from Himself He took of Himself fashioned it to make man’s spirit. Then made a man’s body (the flesh) from dust of the earth and breathed the life (spirit and soul) into the body then the body became alive (Gen. 2:7). He put the man into Eden (Gen. 2:8). Then told him to tend and guard the Garden of Eden (Gen. 2:15). This was the first commandment He told man (not multiply :)), this was even before the woman came. Guard it from what? From Satan because he was still on earth. Then God made the woman etc. And God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth” (Gen. 1:28 KJV). God gave the authority/dominion over the earth to mankind. But some time after the 7th day, Satan slipped into Eden and possessed the serpent (“serpent of old” Rev. 12:9; 20:2). The serpent tempted the woman to eat of the forbidden fruit. And the woman was deceived and ate, then gave it to the man. And the man ate knowingly he was disobeying God (1 Tim. 2:14). Then God said to the serpent (the devil, Satan), “Because you have done this, you are cursed more than all cattle, and more than every beast of the field; on your belly you shall go, and you shall eat dust all the days of your life. And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel” (Gen. 3:14-15). The seed was the Messiah, Jesus Christ. Satan needed to stop the seed from coming and one way he could do it was to pollute the seed. So Satan convinced 1/3 of the angels to follow him to earth in order to stop the seed from coming to earth (Rev. 12:1-4). Only way to pollute the seed was to mix it with Angelic seed (Angels having sex with humans). SOME of those angels went around the earth having sex with everyone to defile the seed (Gen. 6:1-12). If they continued they would have polluted the seed and God’s word would not have come to pass – the Messiah. Noah was the only one who was still righteous (Gen. 6:10-12). So God told Noah to build an ark because God was going to destroy everyone in the earth with a flood. Ark was to save Noah, His family and animals. When Noah had completed the ark the LORD flooded the earth. The angels who went around trying to polluting the seed by having sex with humans were locked up and placed in chains until the day of judgment, all the people besides Noah and his family died (2 Peter 2:4-5). “And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day; as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire” (Jude 1:6-7). Those fallen angels who weren’t cast into chains are still today helping Satan. In The Living Vine |

Hi Appleseed, You say "God created the earth and the heavens in Genesis 1:1 then He destroyed it by casting Satan down to entire earth and removing His light from the earth"? What scriptural proof do you offer for this? I'm afraid you'll have to do better than this to get me to "buy" what you're selling! I see- like Hank- much speculation and theological "guess work" being paraded as Biblical truth:-( That's my take on this... Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |
