1 | When do we become sinners? | Ps 51:5 | Morant61 | 12192
Greetings Steve! My friend, I agree with you that we are sinners from conception (Ps. 51). However, (oh no, the dreaded "but..." :-) ), I also believe that Christ's death atoned for all of our sins. My denomination phrases depravity this way: We are born depraved, but not culpable until we have the opportunity to accept or reject Christ. Besides, the mortal fate of the infants at Sodom doesn't necessarily speak to their eternal destinies. I approach this issue from both a Biblical and a experiential perspective. My wife and I lost a nine month old son to heart defects. I have no doubt in my mind that I will see him in Heaven. God Bless, Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

2 | What about the savage? | Ps 51:5 | Reformer Joe | 12258
Just one follow-up question, hoping we don't get too far off-topic: Looking at your denomination's definition of depravity, how does it fit into its theology the "ignorant savage who never hears the name of Christ," or for that matter those here in the western world who never hear a clear gospel presentation? --Joe! |

3 | What about the savage? | Ps 51:5 | Searcher56 | 12264
Romans 1:18-20 I think gives the answer. But, that does not preclude us from telling (Rom 10:15-13). Steve |
