1 | Holy Spirit, holy spirit, or both? | 1 Corinthians | Jeff12 | 49513
Since this forum does not give my post and will not give yours I will post yours with my answer. "the Bible does not support any teaching that we have our "own" (lower case) holy spirit that somehow is unique to each person. It teaches that there is one and only one Holy Spirit, the third person of the Triunity. It is He who indwells in the regenerate believer from the moment of regeneration. There is no such entity as a "tailor-made" individualized holy spirit living in anyone. --Hank" John 16:13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. (NIV) So you're saying the Holy Spirit or holy spirit is stupid? The verse says "he will speak only what he hears"? If the Holy Spirit or holy spirit is God then where is this spirit getting what he hears from? A fourth God? |

Jeff, either you totally missed my point, or I yours. My former post took issue with your suggestion that there is a Holy Spirit AND a holy spirit. I repudiate your innuendo that I was accusing the Holy Spirit of stupidity as well as your reference to a fourth God, whatever that is supposed to mean. I know not whence you hit upon the idea of a fourth God anyway. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit do NOT constitute three Gods, my friend. I won't pursue this discourse any further; I'm not sure exactly what's the point of it anyway. --Hank
