1 | Not able to receive the Holy Spirit? | 1 Corinthians | remodeled | 49387
So what you are saying is that in todays church people can not receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit and since there are no apostles there is no laying on of hands to receive other gifts ? Sorry ,but I disagree with you. We can still receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the other gifts. I have seen and heard it for myself. I think we the church are the apostles of today and through us sprending GOD's word we can receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit. May GOD Bless You, remodeled |

I agree you still can recieve the baptism of the Holy Spirit today because if you read 1 corinthians 13:8-10 especially in the living bible it says (verse 10 But when we have been made PERFECT and COMPLETE, then the need for these inadequate special gifts will come to an end, and they will disappear.Even kJ version says that is which is PERFECT is come and you know we aren't perfect until we are in heaven, GOD BLESS jydubb
3 | Not able to receive the Holy Spirit? | 1 Corinthians | remodeled | 49521
Yes can still recieve the baptism of th Holy Spirit, but I do not find these gifts inadequate. For we need them just as much now. In the KJ version 1COR 13:10 it says" But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away". In my study guide it says that the second part refers to thing we out grow the need for things associated with immaturity. I don't think we have out grown the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Verse 11 in the same chapter states that "when I was a child, I spake as a child,I understood as a child: but when I became a man ,I put away childish things". 1 COR 13 is about charity(love). It says we are to abide in faith, hope, and chartiy (love),these three; but the greatest is charity(love). What greater love is there than the love of GOD. |
