1 | Praise the Lord! | Exodus | Hank | 67887
tremere123: Hank neither decides nor wishes to beat anyone into the ground! Hank is concerned with and does all in his power to discourage the proliferation of unfounded opinion, vain speculation, private interpretation of God's word not based on standard exegesis, and any other thing that is posted that is contrary to the plain teaching of Scripture and that has the potential to lead astray both unbelievers and new believers who are not yet firmly fixed in the faith. It is, or should be, axiomatic that no one should attempt an answer to a Bible-based question unless that person knows whereof he speaks and is able to give -- not his wild guess or undocumented opinion, neither of which is of real value to this forum -- but a well-reasoned, scripturally-supported, clear and complete answer to it. It is wiser to remain silent and learn from others than to risk misleading others by posting on topics of which he has little or no real knowledge or understanding. As I have said many times before, and as Lockman has decreed, this is not a discussion group, or a soapbox for airing theories, philosophies, and speculations. It is, first and last, a Study Bible Forum. It is hoped that we all understand its scope and purpose, i.e., what it is. And it is equally hoped that we also understand what it is not. One of the rules of this forum, by the way, is to refrain from personal attacks on its members. We talk issues. We do not unjustly accuse someone of deciding who "has to be beaten to the ground." My differences with you have not been fueled by any personal animosity toward you: I don't know you personally. They have been occasioned by the nature of your posts which were short on Scripture and long on guess and opinion, much of which, in the light of Scripture, were patently in error. --Hank

Why do you speak of yourself in the third person? If you do all in your power to make sure that only people speak from Scripture...which I didn't know was your job...then why do you have notes that don't have Scriptual references? And you make a good point...you don't know me personally...so instead of pointing out my lack of references and, by the way, there are many others who don't give them...your falling down on the job, why did you not just ASK ME???? You tell me who I mislead....you tell me what I said that was not, at least, biblically correct and you proove it to me with Scriptual Proof....I did not unjustly accuse you...And what you call "unfounded opinion" IS YOUR OPINION...I answered those questions because I felt that I knew the answer and could offer some food for thought and as I said...I told them it was my opinion or belief or theory because I am honest! When you give scriptual references to explain or back up an answer it is because you understood that verse to be saying what it was saying...you formed a theory or belief or theory about...not everyone agrees what certain verses mean and many people, even Christians, have different views on the meaning of the Word...we all have opinions and theories and I never said that I was against giving scripture verification and in some instances I did...if I didn't I usually directed the person to the Scripture for him or herself....Tell me, Hank, how did I mislead anyone...I led them to the Word...I see you have been on a soapbox a number of times....why are you being a hypocrite and further cementing the nonbeliever's perception that Christians are the most judgmental people there are. I insist that you are the accuser on this topic...you are the hypocrite, the judgmentalist Sadducee...You have been allowed to air your opinions, your assumptions on people...why is it okay for you and not for me? Who are you and where do you come from? Going to and fro on the earth maybe? Where did I get that from? If I say things that are biblically based maybe I have read the Bible...maybe I haven't, maybe I just now looked that up....but don't assume and incriminate people that you don't know! Be careful to entertain strangers for in doing so you may have unwittingly entertained angels! Is that biblical, Hank, cause I wouldn't know...I must just make things up! Go look in the Word yourself! |

Tremere123 Do yourself and everyone on the forum a favor refrain from calling people names. It will get you in hot water and frankly it doesn’t do much for your Christian Witness. In my last response to you I tried, maybe ineptly, to explain to what has happened. Now before you call anyone else a hypocrite, the judgmentalist and Sadducee read how your answers to first 32 some questions you responded too. While some of your answers were good, and thought provoking some were in fact wrong, some were without scriptural basis, and some could even be considered dangerous. This fray between you and Hank started when someone said “hurray for Tremere123”. Hank then responded that many of your answers were without scriptural basis and some were even wrong. And off we went. You need to reread what you said to understand why Hank said what he said. The issue is not the fact you did not provide Chapter and verse the problem is some of your answers as stated and read by me and others are wrong, or have no scriptural support. Please take a moment and reread what you answered particularly the five questions Hanks presented you. If you fail to see a problem let us then discuss them one at a time until the issue is resolved. I pray I did not offend you, but I could think of no other way to say this. EdB |
