[...continue from first part...]So the world's concept of "hell" is admittedly a product of centuries of MAN'S THINKING on the great problem of reward and punishment which man associates with human deeds. It did NOT COME AS A REVELATION FROM GOD, but is rather the product of MAN'S THINKING -- using HUMAN REASON to decide what ONLY GOD CAN REVEAL! What About the Millions of Heathen? Now, before we examine to see whether man's idea of hell is TRUE, let us consider where this concept of hell, if true, leads us! On this earth there are more than three billion people! The most populous lands are China, India, and other parts of Asia, and in spite of missionaries from the West, actually MORE THAN HALF of all the people on the earth have NEVER SO MUCH AS HEARD THE ONLY NAME BY WHICH MEN MAY BE SAVED -- the name of JESUS CHRIST! For your Bible says, "... there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). This means that BILLIONS of people here on this earth have lived, and DIED, without having known anything about Christian salvation -- without SAVING KNOWLEDGE -- neither having heard the ONLY name by which men may be saved! Now think what that means. If all UNsaved have gone immediately to hell at death -- the hell commonly believed in -- then more THAN HALF the people who have ever lived on this earth have been consigned there without ever having been given so much as a CHANCE to escape it! They are ETERNALLY LOST IN TORMENTING "HELL FIRE"! Can you really believe THAT IS the plan by which an all-wise, all-merciful, LOVING GOD IS working out His purpose here below? WHAT IS THE TRUTH? We face these alternatives: Either the Holy Bible is the INSPIRED Word of God, by which the Creator REVEALS the TRUTH on this subject, or else we must fling up our hands and confess we JUST DON'T KNOW -- we are IGNORANT on the question -- because no one has ever COME BACK from such a hell to tell us about it. We must believe what the Bible says, or we can believe NOTHING, if we are rational and honest! IS there even such a thing as "hell fire"? What does the BIBLE say about it? Didn't Jesus say something about "hell fire"? Yes, He did! We are about ready for the actual lesson. But first, read these instructions. Before You Begin Is your Bible in front of you? If not, go GET YOUR BIBLE -- or Bibles if you have more than one translation. Also have several sheets of paper, and a pen, pencil or typewriter so that you can MAKE NOTES to help you in remembering what you learn. Remember -- you must open your Bible to EVERY PASSAGE. Never say to yourself, "Oh, I think I know what the scripture is referring to" -- and then pass over it. You need to KEEP YOUR NOSE IN THE BIBLE, SO to speak. You must READ and REREAD and STUDY EVERY PASSAGE in your Bible. Don't forget, this is a BIBLE STUDY COURSE -- not just a study of these lessons we send you. This lesson is intended to DIRECT YOU to the Bible -- to help you LEARN the TRUTH of God's Word. Now with your Bible, a good dictionary, and concordance, if you have one, and your stationery all in front of you, here is the METHOD of study. Write down neatly on your paper the lesson TITLE. Next write down the lesson number. As you come to each question section, write down ITS HEADING. Then, at the lefthand margin, print the NUMBER OF EACH QUESTION as you come to it, and WRITE DOWN THE BIBLE ANSWERS, together with any PERTINENT IDEAS that may come to your mind. Be sure to WRITE OUT THE SCRIPTURE which answers each question. Writing the answers and any comments you wish to make as you go along WILL HELP YOU GREATLY IN REVIEWING AND REMEMBERING WHAT YOU LEARN. Now we are ready to begin this lesson. Awaiting your responce on whether you wish to continue this lesson or not...I surely hope you're sincere, as God desireth those that are such to worship Him... goodnewsminister: Your view is not uncommon, and either you are a Seventh Day Adventist, or perhaps a Universalist. I pose to you the question, what if you are wrong? What if your theology is flawed and because someone followed your direction they do end up in eternal seperation from God? Why not just believe as Jesus said, that no one would get to the Father but by Him. There is consequenses for rejecting Jesus Christ and just ending ones consicense existance is not in line with any Orthodox view of Scripture, unless you consider Neo-Orthodox Theology legitmate. Your thoughts? justme |

Dear Justme, I am neither 7th day, nor JW, nor HWA follower, I am follower of Jesus Christ and I worship and bow my knee to Him and the Father, from whom all life flows. May I likewise pose you the same questions: What if you are wrong? And at the judgement, you've found out that you've blasphemed God's character and Good name all these years by your teaching? What do you think He'll do with you? I am thoroughly convinced and persuaded that the understanding I have of the Truth is not just some 'theology', but the very knowledge of God, His character attributes, which their are primarily four, Love-Justice-Wisdom-Power and all four of these operate harmoniously. I also know that God is not a hypocrite, He would not tell ancient Israel to not burn their children in the fire to the god Molech, yet at the same time have a plan for burning His own offspring in eternal fire. I do believe as Jesus said, no one gets into the Kingdom of God but BY HIM! Precisely! Acts 4:12, for there is NO OTHER NAME given among men wherebe we MUST be saved! I do not reject Jesus Christ, I do reject 'another Jesus', 'another gospel', and 'another spirit', a spirit of evil that caused countless non-trinitarians to be burned at the stake for rejecting the erroneous doctrine of the Triune God. Such great and noble men as Miguel Servetus, who wrote the book "Errors of the Trinity" who was burned at the stake by John Calvin during the Reformation years. Orthodox views come from the wild beast of Revelation, the Roman church who has names of blasphemy written all over her forehead, and from her came all the protestant denominations that exist today and although they are sincere people, and sincerely wrong, I do love them and pity them for the Lord's sake and I do what I can to love them to the Turth of the Word of God. I dislike or hate no one. These are my thoughts. However, what is important are His thoughts, and not mine. What does the Bible say? Read Genesis 2:7 that tells us what we are: "And the Lord God formed man out of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man BECAME a living soul." We BECAME living souls, the Bible does not say that we have souls, or that we were given souls, it clearly states that we BECAME souls or nephesh or living creature, air-breathing creatures. I wish you a clearer understanding of His word. May His peace be yours today is my prayer and may His Truth be yours thereby: The Good News Minister! Preaching against the BAD News that most 'angels of light' preach today and standing firmly upon the promises of God's word that in the coming age, the 'knowledge of the Lord shall cover the earth as the waters cover the sea'. |

5 | What is our soul | Bible general Archive 1 | goodnewsminister | 87804
Dear Sven, Here are the Bible's answers to your questions: (1) What is man made of anyway? Genesis 2:7 reads,"And the Lord God formed man out of the DUST OF THE GROUND, and breathed into his nostrils THE BREATH OF LIFE and man BECAME a living soul." So the Bible plainly states that the DUST OF THE GROUND- OUR BODY PLUS the BREATH OF LIFE - OUR SPIRIT equals or adds up to our very LIFE- our SOUL. (2) Isn't he three parts? No, Man is NOT a trinity, just as God is NOT a trinity. We are SOULS, we do not HAVE souls. Our Body combined with the breath of life or the ability to breath or vitality, the same vitality that is in the animal kingdom is what makes up our SOUL, our very life and being. Ecclesiastes 3:19 For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all ONE breath [the breath of life from God] ; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity. (Whole Chapter: Ecclesiastes 3 In context: Ecclesiastes 3:18-20) The difference between us and the brute beast is that we have what the Bible calls,'the spirit in man', this spirit in man, given by God to ALL mankind is what is combined with our human brain to form our mind, will and emotions. We all need God's Holy Spirit in order for us to be able to truly understand and comprehend spiritual truths. Adam and Eve were created physical beings, they are not spiritual beings and neither are we, unless we receive God's Holy Spirit and become spirit begotten children of our Heavenly Father.1 Corinthians 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. (Whole Chapter: 1 Corinthians 2 In context: 1 Corinthians 2:10-12) Yes, we are a complete being, a soul, if any ONE of our parts that makes us up is missing, i.e., either the breath of life or the body, our life-our soul dies and ceases to exist until the Resurrection. 6 | Jesus says I AM | Bible general Archive 1 | Sven | 87828
Dear Good News Minister, Thanks for the other answer you sent me I will meditate on the verses you referenced. What do you make of the two verses below. Wasn't he referencing the time God said tell "I AM"? I love it when Jesus begins by saying I tell you the truth, because I am pretty sure Jesus doesn't lie, so what is he telling the truth about. "I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I am!" John 8:58 45Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me! 46Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don't you believe me? 47He who belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God." John 8:45-47 Thanks, Sven |

7 | Jesus says I AM | Bible general Archive 1 | goodnewsminister | 87837
Dear Sven, I do not believe He was claiming diety here, He was saying, as it is rendered in another version I have, that is published by the Philippine Bible Society, "Before Abraham was, I was already here in existence", Also, note that the same Greek words used by Jesus here, saying, "I am" were also used by Paul and the other Apostles throughout the New Testament. The explanation mark is not in the original, so disregard it in the English rendering. Yes, Proverbs chapter 8 describes our Lord's preexistence in these words: 22 "The LORD brought me forth as the first of his works, [2] , [3] before his deeds of old; 23 I was appointed [4] from eternity, from the beginning, before the world began. 24 When there were no oceans, I was given birth, when there were no springs abounding with water; 25 before the mountains were settled in place, before the hills, I was given birth, 26 before he made the earth or its fields or any of the dust of the world. 27 I was there when he set the heavens in place, when he marked out the horizon on the face of the deep, 28 when he established the clouds above and fixed securely the fountains of the deep, 29 when he gave the sea its boundary so the waters would not overstep his command, and when he marked out the foundations of the earth. 30 Then I was the craftsman at his side. I was filled with delight day after day, rejoicing always in his presence, 31 rejoicing in his whole world and delighting in mankind. speaking thus of His preexistence with the Father for ions of time before even the earth was created, Jesus dwelt with the Father and became like Him in every way, hence, Jesus could say that, "If ye have seen me, ye have seen the Father", for as Hebrews states Jesus is the "express image of the Father." John 14:9 Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'? The Jews did not ever teach that the Messiah was to be God in human flesh, such is foreign to Jewish thought and as Christians, we should base our beliefs on Judaism, as Jesus Himself was a Jew. He was a 'corresponding ransom' for Father Adam, and as such, was Adam's equal before the fall. He balanced out the scales of justice for us all and redeemed us all back to His Father and to His God and our God. O How great a Savior do we have indeed! Praise be unto His Name! |
