Raven, Have you spent much time in children's ministry? Young children have taught me alot about basic faith and right vs. wrong. Something adults like to complicate and turn into shades of grey. They can understand quite a bit, including baptism and salvation. They accept the truth of scripture without having to challenge it and have it make rational sense. They just trust God to tell the truth. |

New Lump: [speaking of children] "They just trust God to tell the truth."..... I love it! What a mouthful of wisdom in those eight words. "Except they become as little children..." It was said of Charles Spurgeon that he never quite lost his simple, child-like faith and trust. When I encounter acrid debates on this or that point of High Theology, I often find the words of an old song reverberating in my mind: "Just in simple faith to trust Him, just to know 'thus saith the Lord.'".... They just trust God to tell the truth .... I must remember that! --Hank | ||||||
