2 Tim. 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. This is what I go by, but as with many, sometimes we suffer from a paradigm paralysis. I was a staunch pretribulationist for over thirty two years until I was taught that the scripture says something different. I was almost to the point that I couldn't see the forest for the trees. When I finally unscrewed my head enough to let a different thought in everything fell into place, but if a person is so dead set on trying to see it all one way the truth can almost jump up and bite them and they won't be able to see it. The book that cleared it up for me was the one already mentioned, The Rapture Question Answered. But like Burger King, Have it your way! I would hate to see someone confused by the facts! There are many on this forum that could tell you the same story. CDBJ |

Not according to what the Bible says must happen first if we are to take the Bible at face value. The doctrine of the immense of the rapture is a mystery doctrine without Biblical backing, it is the wishful thinking are the part of some that have twister scripture around to fit a hopeful desire. I would like for it to be so but God has designated other plans that will test our faith to the limit. James 1:3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 2 Thes. 2:1-11 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 5Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 6And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 8And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 9Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: Matthew 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
