1 | Is asking for money false? | 2 John 1:10 | lionheart | 143553 | ||
When did asking for charity equate to false teaching? I've known a number of individuals who's only means of support comes from the people and organizations they reach out to.Does this make them false teachers,I think not.Go back and look at post #143547.If this is amatter of what to support or not then do some homework and find out what they are all about.If it's for a godly purpose then give it some thought,if not then you know what to do. In Christ, lionheart |

Lionheart, This is not about the money. As I said, it is very little. What sparked the discussion in our study group was the various references to helping people in need. I made the comment that I think I recall a verse that mentions taking in christians into your home. |

Scriopture ... Acts 28:7 "Now in the neighborhood of that place were lands belonging to the leading man of the island, named Publius, who welcomed us and entertained us courteously three days." I believe three days is tradition ... read verse 11, they stayed three months. I see some preachers drive expensive cars, live in expensive places and have other expensive habits ... and aske for more. |
