1 | Is Jesus Gods son? | Heb 1:5 | CDBJ | 71091
Jesus didn’t have an old sin nature because he wasn’t born of the seed of Adam. The old sin nature is passed down through the male seed, and that which was conceived in Mary was of the Holy Spirit. Christ wasn’t in Adam hence no OSN. If he would have been of Adams seed he couldn’t have been perfect and when he died he couldn’t have been our substitute. Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: This is speaking of Adam’s contaminated seed as being passed on to all of his offspring. If I remember correctly there are 46 chromosomes, which are any of the microscopic rod-shaped bodies formed by the incorporation of the chromatin in a cell nucleus during mitosis and meiosis: they carry the genes that convey hereditary characteristics, and are constant in number for each species. In the process of meiosis and polar body the female once a month throws off the contaminated chromosomes and her 23 uncontaminated ones are left for fertilization. This is how Jesus came to be without and old sin nature. Matthew 1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. Death came through the first Adam, life comes through the last Adam. Adam made a decision to get out, we have to make a decision to get in. Thus we have the new birth and we become a new creation in Christ. Romans 5:17-19 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) [18] Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. [19] For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. I hope this doesn't confuse people, CDBJ |

2 | Is Jesus Gods son? | Heb 1:5 | Pastor Glenn | 71121
CDBJ, I also hope that Tony Hall's original question has been answered sufficiently. And I hope these continuing questions of Jesus' human nature and sinlessness does not confuse him even more. I think we all agree on these points: 1. Jesus had to be the seed of the woman. (Chistians are His spiritual offspring.) 2. He had to be without spot or blemish. (Adam had the chance but blew it.) 3. He had to have power to rise from the dead. (only God could) 4. He had to have power to forgive sins. (only God could) Your quotes from Romans 5:12-19 are good. Pastor Glenn |
