1 | Order of events at the 2nd Coming? | 1 Thess 4:17 | EdB | 14941 | ||
Charis your absolutely right and that is exactly the reason I tried to get this stopped before it started. Now I find myself a major contributor to this debacle. I can’t resist a revelation discussion, I try but I can’t. Pray for me. Everyone is worried about the Christians that are going to slip away, it’s going to happen look at 2 Thess. 2:3 “a great falling away”. Everyone is taking about a big revival, that revival isn’t to the church it is to the Jew. The church is going to experience a great falling away. As I have said at the beginning too much is not known, we know some things have been intentionally kept from us Rev 10:4. All of this is just speculation and conjecture and serves no real us other than to feed our curiosity. The time spend on this already could have been better spent praying for our nation, our government, our families. Your also right this hasn’t blown up because no real dissenter has added his two cents. But there is enough ammunition now in this thread so that it could take weeks to calm down should it blow. Besides I just about said everything I wanted to about Revelation :-). In any case we already decided it was Nolan’s fault ;-) |

Now, I am going to ask a serious question! The falling away - is this true Christians or those who go to church but don't have a relationship with the Lord Jesus? Because otherwise we are talking about once saved always saved, etc and are going to get into another impossible discussion. My personal take on the immediate end times event is the believers at that time will be taken away, but there is enough knowledge that many who knew but didn't really understand what being saved was all about will find out real fast and then will make a decision. It almost sounds as though only the Jews will have a chance to decide for Christ during the Tribulaion. There are so many people who are church goers that know a little, have heard a little, that if the rapture happens when they see it, they will know that what they had heard had truth to it and will decide for Christ. Or am I reading to much of the "Left Behind" books? Shame on you Nolan! Debbie |

Sorry Debbie! The discussion was a little too interesting for me to resist.. :) When you mentioned the horses, a certain book came to mind, C.S. Lewis' "The Great Divorce".. And how the angel almost had to wrestle the "lizard" or sin away from the man, so that he would be "strong enough" to be able to enter into heaven and be able to leap onto his horse (that had wings)! Your Brother in Christ, Nolan |

Now we're going to get into mythology?! Pegasus, yet! It's bad enough I'm allergic to horses but now you have to go with feathers (I'm worse with them!). Debbie |
