1 | I'm not sure what you are trying to ask | Col 3:17 | Ric | 32425
1 Peter 3:20 who once were disobedient, when the patience of God kept waiting in the days of Noah, during the construction of the ark, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through the water. (NASB) Notice that the eight people were saved "through" the water and not "by" the water. Water baptism is something all Christians (notice that we are already saved) should do after salvation to confess Jesus as Lord and Savior. Being saved is the baptism of the Holy Spirit, because Jesus promised the Holy Spirit to all believers (John 14:16) in Him. God Bless! In God's Grace, Ric |

2 | I'm not sure what you are trying to ask | Col 3:17 | Savannah | 32477
Ric, I guess the problem is this. I use the KJV and your using NASB. Amazing how 1 or 2 words changes the whole meaning of a scripture. That's why I stick to KJV. Please be carefull. Savannah |

1 Peter 3:20 apeithësasin pote hote apexedecheto hë tou theou makrothumia en hëmerais Nöe kataskeuazomenës kibötou, eis hën oligoi, tout estin oktö psuchai, diesöthësan di hudatos. (Greek N.T.) I'm not knocking the KJV, but if we go back to the Greek, the phrase " diesöthësan di " in the Greek translates into "saved through" the water (hudatos translates into water). All translations of the Bible need to be studied very close. God Bless! In God's Grace, Ric |
