Hello FOE, Welcome to the forum. Your post was interesting although quite assuming. Not only regarding what others believe about aliens and why, but also about God and His creation. Perhaps I can offer some feedback that might lighten your sadness with every one here. You wrote: I find it very sad that the faith of every one here is so miniscule that you have to put God Almighty who made the heavens above in such a tiny box. I have to respond to this in the context of another one of your statements. You wrote: I admit I have studied God's great creation more than his word... These two statements, I believe, are the basic premise and reason that take the air out of your position. I don't mean that rudely. Christians, what we believe and teach, in no way put God "in a tiny Box" (as if that were possible). I believe that you and others who think this way most likely come to this conclusion unjustly. Because we don't "assume" things about God or His creation, it does not mean that we attempt to limit Him. With this said, let me encourage you to put forth more of your energy and time studying the word of God. It is great that we are able to learn much about His creation (especially with the technology of today). He did intend for us to know Him in part through what we observe of His creation, as He has made them plain to us: "For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead:" Romans 1:20 Notice the statement "clearly seen". Yet you write as though you believe in the exixtance of aliens. Have you clearly seen one? If the answer is no, does this mean they don't exist? No it doesn't. But to say they do is no more than assumption and, really, what's the point? So while you encourage others to not attempt to limit God (as if we could), I encourage you to not make unfounded assumptions about Him either. If God created aliens then they exist. Your belief in them does not make them any more real as the next guys disbelief does not make them any less. What's important is what God has chosen to reveal to us and making that the primary focus of our lives. What God has chosen to reveal at this point is His word which contains all that He desires for us. Finally, with this said, I am of the opinion that it is not the one who denies aliens that "resist God" but the one who puts other things before the study of His word and before getting to know Him through the method He chose. Think it through, P.S. Our faith is not "miniscule". It is a saving faith. And it is not of ourselves, but given to us by God Himself. So please be careful when you judge another person's faith. Sincerely, Jeff |

You are right that it is not my place to judge my fellow man, but that was not the intent of my posting. Rather I would broaden your horizens. I gave to you the message I would need to hear if I felt the way that has been described here. I make no assumptions about God, but rather I draw upon knowlegde wich has been made plain to me. It is you who assumes I have no knowledge of aliens. There is no way I can make what I know about aliens as plain to you as God has made it me, except to help you widen your scope of understanding of God's creation and it's giant nature, in the hope he will reveal it to you as well. When you are given the opritunity to expand your knowledge of God, jump on it! Pope John Paul's main focus of research, can you geuss what it was? Aliens. He wanted to know, not weather or not they are real, but rather weather or not he should try and convert them. He knew far more than me about God's word, yet believed the same as me, as to the reality of aliens. Do you need to see the wind to know it is there? Have you ever tasted, felt, seen or really heard an idea? How do you know an idea exsists then? My ideas are folly, flawed and in error like anything that comes from man. Don't belive me not a single word that is mine will sway your heart. I take no glory for myself or seek to profit in any way but rather all glory be to God, all profit of these ideas are his, because it is he who let me say them! I ask you not to trust in ME, but rather trust that God's glory is beyond your ability to comprehend. I feel that great and terrible things will soon come to pass, and I am hopeing these ideas will steel your heart against the trials and tribulations ahaed. I did not mean to ridicule you personaly or any man personaly, but I was hopeing to help you realize how if you truely had even a musterd seed of faith mountains would move from your path daily. This idea is not mine it is from God. I am not totaly ignorant of his word, I am simpley not able to quote you the verse and chapter of every thing I know from it. I will love God no matter what he is or what he does, I ask you not to let UFO's or aliens shake your faith in the Almighty. Do not fear them or praise them, for they were made by he who made you as well. |

Foe-hammer, The only broadening of horizons any of us need here is the greater study of God's Word. Nothing is said in Scripture about Space Alien. Much is said about supernatural beings, some Godly, and who help us, and some ungodly, who try to hurt and deceive us. This is a Bible Study Forum, not a Space Aliens Study Forum. If you wish to discuss Space Aliens, there are other forums out there for you to visit. If you wish to study the Bible with us, then let's do so, and leave this Space Aliens stuff where it belongs - outside. Love in Christ, Mark |
