Dear WOS... Good points! Thank you! I would say that suffering is integral part of being a believer's life. It is necessary for us to be conformed to the image of God (cf Hebrews 12). For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: (1 Peter 2:21) Strength is never demonstrated except in resistance against a weight. Light is never so significant as arising in the darkness. Rebellion and submission are only measured when faced with authority. We tend to ask God where He has gone when we face adversity. The reality is that He is never so nearer than He is during a time of trouble. For that is the time the He is molding the clay into a vessel fit for His use. In Him, Doc |
