1 | why create us as sinful creatures? | Rom 7:7 | DocTrinsograce | 168811 | ||
Hi, Calmira... The law is not flawed. It is perfect and holy. It does exactly what it intends to do: drive us to Christ. The second half of your question is called theonomy. It has been much discussed in the forum. God's objective was to create a people of His own for His glory. "Why" questions are the most difficult of all. The Scriptures do not tell us why. I surmise that there are two reasons for this: (1) It is quite likely that we lack the cognitive ability to comprehend the answer; (2) We wouldn't accept the answer if we knew it. Most of the time humans ask "why" because they want God to give an account of His actions. Everything the Lord does is perfect, true, and holy. He is Sovereign. He can and does do with His creation as He sees fit. In Him, Doc |
