Greetings Otis and welcome to the forum, (Romans 2:14-16 KJV) For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;) In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel. The English Standard Version may state this clearer. (Romans 2:14-16 ESV) For when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do what the law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the law. They show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness, and their conflicting thoughts accuse or even excuse them on that day when, according to my gospel, God judges the secrets of men by Christ Jesus. From the garden came the knowledge of good and evil, thus a law in itself. You could do what you knew to be good or not, but all things will be revealed in the last day, whether to justification or to destruction. (Luke 12:2 KJV) For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known. terrib |

Otis: Whenever you reply to a post, above the box where you write your reply, it says: "Follow-up on this answer "This is a Question or Note" In other words you're being asked to label your reply. Is it a Question or a Note? If you mark it as a Question, then it appears on the homepage under that heading and is understood to be a question open to any and all, one that is not meant for a specific individual. It stays on the homepage unless and until the indivual you're asking decides to answer it. So normally when we write a question to a particular individual we don't categorize that post as a Question. It is better, even though it is a question, to mark your reply as a Note before you submit it. If you will post your question as a Note to terrib's previous post, they will be notified that you have written to them. Please do not take this Note as criticism of you. I am merely providing you with information and trying to be helpful. :-) Welcome to the Forum!
