1 | At what moment do we go to heaven? | Eccl 12:7 | kalos | 155643
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. NASB Romans 1:16 The gospel is the power of God for salvation. Not feelings. Not emotions. Not personal experiences. Not goose bumps. Not chills and thrills. THE GOSPEL IS THE POWER OF GOD FOR SALVATION. |

Kalos, what follows is a working draft of a proposed revised and edited version of Paul's charge to Timothy in 2 Timothy 4:1-5. It has been reformatted to fit the doctrines of Experience Bible Forum and includes the necessary elements of feel-goodism, health-and-wealth-name-it-and-claim-it Word of Faithism. It is, as I have said, only a working draft at this point; therefore, I'm open to any changes in the wording that you feel may be warranted. ...... So here, revised and edited, is Paul's charge to Timothy ...... I charge thee, Timothy, preach the Word-Faith gospel. Tell of thy personal experiences. Be diligent in person and on TV, exhort (but do not reprove or rebuke, which turnest people off) with graphic illustrations of thy near-death experiences. Proclaim with boldness how thou didst name and claim a new Mercedes like unto Benny's -- yea, even a zillion dollar mansion such as thy brother Crouch owneth. For the time will come, yea now is, when they will not endure sound doctrine, so why fret thyself on this wise? Goest thou with the flow, young man! Thou knowest they have itching ears: wherefore I charge thee scratch thou them. Tell them of thy experiences. Dramatize thou them, for I knowest thou hast an imagination that exceedeth R. K. Rowling's. They shall turn their ears away from the truth, but be not dismayed. Get thee their attention by telling them fables, for in so doing thou wilt keep them coming back to thy church. Do the work of an evangelist: speak unto them what they want to hear. Study to show thyself that thou makest them feel good alway, for in so doing thou assurest thyself that they will reward thy ministry by giving unto thee big bucks. Thou canst do all these things, Timothy, if thou wilt hold fast to the things that I, Paul, have taught thee. Thou needest not a Bible in thy ministry, save for appearance sake. Tell of thy experiences, slay multitudes in the Spirit, move around thy stage like unto a Mexican jumping bean, shout, wave thine arms, stomp thy feet, and forget thou not thy message to the faithful: name it and claim it. ...... --Hank
3 | At what moment do we go to heaven? | Eccl 12:7 | kalos | 155652
Amen, Brother Hank. I know that what you say is true for I have two witnesses to confirm it. First, I have a direct hotline to God in which He reveals the truth to me personally, even though my new and special revelation often contradicts what He reveals to others. Second, I know that what you say is true because "thus saith experience," the final authority in all matters of faith and practice. Kalos |
