1 | Does it make more sense now? | Eccl 12:7 | DocTrinsograce | 155720 | ||
Hi, Russ... I'll jump in here for a second, although I am certain that Brother Tim will answer far better than I might! I think you are making this a far too personal thing. Remember, when we "testify" to the Gospel we are testifying to TRUTH not our experience. We believe that the Word is TRUE because God has said it, not because we have experienced it. Experiences may come -- so be it -- but we affirm reality because He defines truth, not because He gives experiences. Again... we walk by faith, not by sight (experiences). Sorry, brother Tim... I just couldn't let well enough alone! In Him, Doc PS That's a really cool story about talking to the shuttle. Do they answer any such calls? |

Oh, you bet they do. If there is a ham on board that is. Most astronauts are hams so most of the time there is a ham radio on board. No, all I'm trying to say, I think that would make a really cool sermon illustration. Much like Spurgeon's Niagara Falls and the rope... Sermon # 107 "Faith". Russ |
