1 | What is the tone of this statement? | Job 6:10 | Mommapbs | 56189
Greetings EdB! Where do you read that God proclaimed Job free of sin? Job 1:8 describes Job as being blameless and righteous, but NOT sinless! No one is without sin (Romans 3:23). I think it is important to establish that although he did not sin with his lips, Job was not without sin! (Can't we do this too if we are careful with our words?!) Blessings, Mommapbs |

Mommapbs You said "I think it is important to establish that although he did not sin with his lips, Job was not without sin! (Can't we do this too if we are careful with our words?!) " Mommapbs while I think it is possible I don't think anyone will be like Job. We are to self centered, when things happen to us the first thing out of our mouth is why me God? The patriarchs of the Bible were special men and there isn't any I know today that are willing to pay the price they did. I too can’t wait to talk to Job. EdB |

3 | What is the tone of this statement? | Job 6:10 | Mommapbs | 56227
Greetings EdB! I agree that most of us ask, "Why me?" But isn't the correct response, "Why not?" I concur that many people believe that their troubles are a result of "sin in their lives." I recall a woman remarking about some one who had fallen ill, "I wonder what she did wrong?" How sad. God is so good, and often so misunderstood! We place human expectations upon the Divine - is that silly or what! How arrogant we are, and yet, praise be to God, He loves us still! Blessings, Mommapbs |
