1 | What is the tone of this statement? | Job 6:10 | Mommapbs | 56189
Greetings EdB! Where do you read that God proclaimed Job free of sin? Job 1:8 describes Job as being blameless and righteous, but NOT sinless! No one is without sin (Romans 3:23). I think it is important to establish that although he did not sin with his lips, Job was not without sin! (Can't we do this too if we are careful with our words?!) Blessings, Mommapbs |

2 | What is the tone of this statement? | Job 6:10 | EdB | 56196
Mommapbs Your right the Bible does not say Job was sinless in that many words but I think anyone would agree these verses make a pretty convincing argument that Job was considered righteous before the Lord. Job 1:1 There was a man in the land of Uz whose name was Job; and that man was blameless, upright, fearing God and turning away from evil. Job 1:8 The LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, fearing God and turning away from evil." Job 1:22 Through all this Job did not sin nor did he blame God. Job 2:3 The LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man fearing God and turning away from evil. And he still holds fast his integrity, although you incited Me against him to ruin him without cause." Job 2:10 But he said to her, "You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God and not accept adversity?" In all this Job did not sin with his lips. The point I was trying to make is there are some that try to say that Job through sin brought his problems upon himself. I was refuting that. No sin brought these disasters into Job’s life. If anything his righteous living caused him to be zeroed in on by Satan. Have you ever consider Enoch, he must have been pretty special since he went from this world directly into God’s presence. I wonder about his sin state. EdB |

Greetings EdB! What was the state of Enoch? I would say that Rom. 3:23 pretty well answers that question! :-) I would say that the ascription of righteousness to Job (and others) would fall into the same category as Abraham. He believed God and it was credited to him as righteous, but he, nor anyone other than Christ, was sinless. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

4 | What is the tone of this statement? | Job 6:10 | EdB | 56213
Tim Your absolutely right! However the point I was trying to make was that sin was not the reason for Job's trouble as many TV evangelist try to make out. Your right there were people that had enough faith that God accounted them righteous even before Christ's death. EdB |

Greetings EdB! Sorry my friend, I just couldn't resist! ;-) I do agree absolutely with your point. Sin was not the cause of Job's troubles. My Sunday School class is going through the Gospel of John and I just stressed this point last week as we studied chapter 9. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
