1 | Christian man wants to remarry | 1 Corinthians | Searcher56 | 170202 | ||
NO!!!!! According to the Bible, you may not marry another woman. While God does forgive, it does not give us permission to sin. It appears your focus is not on your wife, which VIOLATES "So they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate" (Matt 19:6). Therefore I ajure you to stop your folishness and return to the wife of your youth. Methinks you are the one who moved and are at fault. While, the new woman may be a different Christian, so are most Christian women ... that is NO EXCUSE for taking up with her. GO TO WISE CHRISTIAN COUNSEL ... and if any Christian marrys you and the new woman, tell him I adjure him too. He is wrong, too. Searcher |

The comments of Jamieson, Fausset, and Brown could be useful here on Matthew 5:31-33, "Whether the innocent party, after a just divorce, may lawfully marry again, is not treated of here. The Church of Rome says, No, but the Greek and Protestant Churches allow it." |
