1 | Restoration of a fallen Pastor | Gen 1:1 | "Here I am Lord" | 108982
Hi, The main verses that i can think of are found in Matt 18: 15-17. Yet I would also like to say that the reason for doing this is for restoration not for discipline. It would be the best thing for everyone to have your pastor repent and be able to be brought back into the fold. In verse 17 it refers to treating them as heathens, now we have to remember how Jesus treated the heathens. He treated them with love in order to draw them to Him. That is what we are called to do with people who have left the faith or are unrepentant, we are to love them and minister to them to hopefully bring them back to God. I hope this brings some answers. God Bless You. Here I am Lord |

2 | Restoration of a fallen Pastor | Gen 1:1 | At His Feet | 109004
Dear Here I am Lord, Thank you for your insight. We have a meeting set for 11:30 tomorrow with Pastor. It will be two men from the board. How we pray he will be honest and repentent. We are all ready to forgive him, and welcome him back into the fold. To us, it isn't about our feelings, he is no less a man than the rest of us, we all fall short of the mark in one way or many, but it is about restoring him to fellowship with the Lord. I keep looking at Peter, and David, God forgave and restored them, and allowed them to continue in leadership. I am trying to get some feel for where this other pastor is coming from, saying our pastor can never be restored to a place of leadership, as I can't find it in the Word. Perhaps that is a denominational guidline. I just can't come up with any Biblical cases where that would apply if the leader was truly repentent. We live in a valley full of false religion, things I had never even heard of before we moved here. And we daily are beaten up by the devil, we so want God to be restored to the throne of this valley, and don't know how all of this can be used for His glory, but we do know He promises to turn all things to good for those who love Him and are called according to His purposes. We trust Him. We just pray we will hear Him in this. Again, thanks for your insight, and your prayers. The Lord bless you and your family. At His Feet |

3 | Restoration of a fallen Pastor | Gen 1:1 | "Here I am Lord" | 109014
Not a problem. One thing that is a comfort for me is that God is in charge and His plan will pravail. And even though this thing might seem insurmountable "anything is possible with God." We all have to forgive because Jesus tells us in Matt 13 that if we do not forgive God will not be able to forgive us. And we all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, we all are in need of a redeemer. This world is a very dark place and Satan has made it very hard to truely find the truths in God's Word. I encourage you to continue studying and to not look to other people to find doctrine but only to the Bible. Millions of people died so that we could have the freedom to live by the Bible let us not take the blood that they and Jesus shed lightly. God Bless You as you follow in His steps Here I am Lord |
