Bible Question (short): explain psa 8:5 God/Angels.Heavenly bein |
Question (full): Sorry for spelling errors. Psa 8:5 says "...You made him lower than 'God'/'Angels'/ 'heavenly beings'... ." which is the right interpretation. Some translations, like the KJV and the NIV, render it 'Angels/heavenly beings' respectively and others, like the Amplified and and New Living Translation, ernder it "GOD" - hebrew Elohim. I seem to understand that this is because of the different takings on the particular word by the Hebrew and the Lexicon. Please enlighten me. |
