Bible Question: I am in a dilemma as to how to react to my husband's ex-wife. I have been married to him for years, and they have no children, but me and him do have a 2 yr old little girl. The ex has started messaging him and trying to get him to be friends with her on a social site, leaving her email info. if he ever decides he might want to talk to her??? He has not responded to her and thinks this will just go away...I am not so sure it will though. I want to respond to her in a christian way, but also let her know I am defending my marriage and family at all costs. She is married again also, so I'm not sure why she's trying so hard to get him to talk to her. Anyway, I just don't know how to handle this in a Godly way and would appreciate some advice/ scripture references. Thank you. |
Bible Answer: Dear mcs9209, Welcome to the forum! Traditional wedding vows have been well thought through. They are not arbitrary. "Forsaking all others" is pretty explicit. I think the problem here is something that your husband must deal with in a decisive and conclusive way. That written, however, you need to understand that the Study Bible Forum is not intended to provide counseling. When that is needed, the best place to go is to your church pastors or elders.
