Bible Question (short): Question about upcoming projects? |
Question (full): Does the Lockman Foundation ever intend to release a version of the NASB using the Majority (Byzantine) text as the basis of the New Testament translation? I find there is a real need for a mainstream translation based on the Majority Text. I have owned several NASB's over the years and it has been my primary Bible that I used for study. However in the past year as I grow more familiar with the textual criticism debate I find I favor the view that the Majority Text is the more reliable set of manuscripts. It appears to be a growing belief amongst conservative Christians. I don't want to debate it, I am just thinking that the Lockman foundation would be the perfect group to take on such a project because of the excellent work that you've done on the NASB. There is a definite market for such a Bible. It would be in a class by itself. |
