Bible Question: I know that there is a hell and why it exist, however I also know that a good over 80 percent of the entire pop. of the world would agree that torture is wrong. I wouldn't wish hell on anyone in this world. It is the ultimate torture that one can ever experience. I honestly want to argue with God over the issue. Actually I plan to when die. I just don't feel that sending people to hell for whatever reason gets them there is just too much of a punishment. Is it wrong for me to feel that way? |
Bible Answer: Dear Muzka, It is not my intention to detract from the answer given by our Brother Tim. I would add the following: God has and can give solid reasoning -- even reasoning we can begin to understand -- behind His eternal, immutable purpose. There are two factors here that contribute to your opinion: (1) The question of sin and (2) the holiness of God. Spend time understanding man's nature and the nature of sin. Spend time learning the attributes of God. (Only the Word of God can address these things accurately.) These things are at the root of your question. When we do not understand these things, our conclusions are utterly skewed. Wouldn't it be cool to be able to get this answered to your satisfaction before you die? :-) In Him, Doc |
