Bible Question:
Is God Holy and sinless as Scripture says He is? If that is so, then why did he murder many people in the Old Testament? |
Bible Answer: The entire bible says that God is sinless and without blemish. The only sin He ever committed was on the cross, "HE became sin" to forgive us ours. You are forgetting one thing in your question....God created man, therefore we are HIS to do with as He pleases. HE is perfect and cannot be bound by human law! HE gave life, and HE takes it away just the same. To say that the OT deaths were murder is like saying that every day when a person dies....God murdered them. He decides when each person is going to die, and HE is the very giver of breath. OT has a lot of special lessons, and I will go as deep into as you would like to go. Just respond if you want to study further into the OT which I understnad can be confusing at times! I hope this helps, be blessed! |
